Belagio, on an ithmus that seperates Lake Como from Lake Lecco. Accessible by ferry from Como, or by car via a very winding road. The villa on the hill was owned by a Hapsburg Princess who donated it to the Rockerfeller Foundation which uses it for artists and musicians. The citiy is so striking because of its setting it is little wonder Berhens did a painting/print. I was aware of the print and took the second photo in the position where the artist must have painted.
